Yes! Having dealt with startup quite extensively in the last two years I think that in this paragraph are summarised the two main reasons why I don’t believe anymore in THIS startup environment. 1) The VC issue, the fact that — as evoked two paragraphs below — they are fine provided they can select THE ONE and everything else fail. Think one second at the macro aspect of this: what does it say about the allocation of scarce (well, not so much!) capital. 2) What startups founders become. You see proponents of big sustainable ideas suddenly not caring about any other sustainable idea and lose their vision totally. I think the best example of this is the sad drift of many ‘sharing economy’ ideas and startups…
