When a coal mine is good for the environment
Amazing to learn that coal, one of the dirtiest power sources is in fact the way nature stores one of its cleanest, solar energy.
So, instead of bashing marvels of humanity such as the Zollverein Coal Plant in the Ruhr, as it is sometimes done by improvised climate activist, we should admire in awe this engineering and design masterpiece that was erected at a time when humanity was largely unaware of the destruction that this and other coal plants have contributed to create; and — now that we know — with the same strength, determination, steadfastness, and resilience of those engineers and miners of the past, we should act resolutely and without delay so that the same ingenuity that produced Zollverein is put at the monumental task of replacing coal all together with sources of energy that would save humanity from a self-imposed annihilation.
