Reason is: I think that recovering the ability to ‘see’ the social sphere of products (how products link human being as a product I use has been produced through a social process, has been used by somebody else, or has been derived from recycled material from an object produced and used by other people) is a great tool in social cohesion and sustainability. This requires seeing ‘through’ a product as you explained with the letter ‘A’ in your post. I wrote all this in a book and you made me very interested in synesthesia as I think that a good way to achieve what I say is by artificially recreate the ability that MTSers have to see through and around a product. It would be important for me to study the neuroscience around synesthesia to see if it is possible to elicit it artificially and selectively for the purposes I have evoked above. Maybe you think I am crazy :) but I wanted to thank you so much for having made me think about these things.
