I think this is a beautiful and heartfelt piece that opens up to several other reconfiguration of ‘freedom’. When we evoke ‘freedom’ we should always keep in mind it’s behind antithetical to society (as the latter is based on rules that limit ‘freedom’) and how basing a society on individual freedoms only create harmony accidentally, by a fortunate stars alignment. Unless we switch radically from a ‘rights’-based definition of human beings to one founded on ‘obligations’ , this ‘accident’ will happen less and less frequently.
